Royal Australian Navy – Experienced Senior Executive, Asset Management in Heavy Industry, Process Improvement driving transformation change

Timothy was part of an Integrated Project Team, working with Navy to analyse existing maintenance strategies and develop future maintenance capability demands for two capabilities and then considered the overall impact on these new capabilities while also considering existing commitments. The major deliverables from this projects was Project Implementation Plan (PIP), that provided the pathways to allow Navy to identify and action revised operational strategies, together with personnel, training, organisation design and equipment requirements to meet future maintenance capability requirements.

The PIP ensure that the required critical capabilities are in place prior to the introduction into service of a new class of ship (or ships) and identifies the investment Navy must undertake to achieve an optimal sustainment solution. Sustainment in the Defence environment encompasses all aspects of through-life support for capital equipment with 40+ service life expectations.
